Back to School Bash 3 went down last Friday at the Orpheum Theatre and it was a great show!! Keri Hilson started off the show and that girl can sing! Then Laze and Royal took the stage and the ladies went insane!! Now, it was Savage's turn to do his thing! My favorite moment of the whole show was seeing Savage sing "Swing" live! Then Pretty Ricky took the stage to finish the show and I have never seen girls go so crazy! All in all, the show was a success! If you were there I hope you had as much fun as I did and if you weren't there make sure you don't miss the show next year!!

HAILEYPALOOZA!!!
So this past weekend was the 2nd Annual HAILEYPALOOZA!! Everyone keeps asking me what HAILEYPALOOZA is?! Well, it's basically a party for no point! Just another reason to get great friends together, wear funny tshirts, and party the night away! This years HAILEYPALOOZA was an overwhelming success! Lots of people came from out of town and centered their weekends around the event! I see the event only getting bigger and bigger by the year! Here are some pictures from the festivities!!

Oh baby!!: 7/23/08
I gotta say congratulations to my friends Alex and Stephanie for welcoming a beautiful baby boy into the world! Steph gave birth to Adrian Hayden on Friday and I got to go over and meet him yesterday! He is the cutest little thing with the longest arms I've ever seen on a baby! He's like a little monkey! I got to hold him for a while and he just slept in my arms! Such a sweet little thing and I am so ridiculously happy for Steph and Alex!! CONGRATS!!!!!!

Summer Cleaning: 07/16/08
I have recently felt "bogged down" by things in my life. Not only by excess material things in my life but also by some of the people in my life. I find that my closets are overflowing with random stuff that I don't need. Random stuff that I don't know why I've kept over the years. Clothing I can't fit into anymore. Shoes that are so worn there are holes in the soles. Old decorations from previous apartments. Craft supplies. Boxes of random stuff. You name it! Therefore, I have started cleaning. No longer will I hold onto things that aren't useful and productive in my life. No more will I hold onto something in the thinking that I might need it one day. Everything that doesn't have a purpose or a very high sentimental value is going. Same goes with the people in my life. No longer will I nurture relationships that offer no positive influence. The saying goes, "you are the company you keep" and I want positive company to create a positive life!
Yesterday, I cleaned out one closet and I already feel "lighter!"

To Do List: 7/10/08
Everyday I have a "To Do" list. Most days I complete it fully but recently I have been slacking. Maybe I have been making my lists too long or something. Either way I gotta get better about my list. Today I have a list a mile long but I am committed for completing the whole thing. One of the things on my list is to call about fencing lessons. I have always wanted to take fencing classes for no real reason. I used to watch movies all the time as a child and one of my favorites was the movie "Outrageous Fortune." In the movie one of the main characters takes fencing lessons so maybe thats were the infatuation came from. It could also be the fact that I love to say the word "touche" which is the word used when beating your opponent in fencing. No matter what the reason, I have decided after all these years of wanting to try it that I am actually going to take the step to make it happen!! I think professional fencing and fencing in the Olympics are in my future!! ;-)

Mr. Sandman Bring Me a Dream!!: 7/9/08
So recently I haven't been sleeping well and I can't figure out why. The problem isn't so much the sleeping part as much as it is that I can't fall asleep! It has taken me up to 2 hours to fall asleep in the recent weeks. Now this is a big problem not only because it causes me to get less sleep than normal but it's also upsetting because I really like to sleep. If sleeping were an Olympic sport I am quite convinced I could take home the gold. I love nothing more than falling asleep and waking up feeling refreshed and typically I can fall sleep anywhere at anytime. Not anymore. And trust me, I've tried almost everything. I bought a new pillow. Didn't work. I switched sides of the bed. Didn't work. I didn't nap for a few days. Didn't work. I even slept in the guest bed last night only to find it still took forever for me to fall sleep. Someone suggested that I drink calming tea before bed so tonight I will do that. Fingers crossed that I fall sleep in a timely manner because everybody (including myself) is sick of me being tired and crabby!!

Gettin' Bloggy with It: 07/08/08
And so the blogs begin. This is a new feature for power939.com and my first experience blogging so I am excited! A little about me...I love to party, I'm very opinionated, and I have fun no matter what I'm doing! I had a great 4th of July weekend even though the 4th of July is my least favorite holiday!! I'm all for America's Independence I just don't support a holiday that gives drunk people and children fire and explosives. I somehow managed to stay away from all the pyros of the world and partied like a rockstar on both Friday and Saturday nights. I spent the rest of the weekend on my couch watching a "Paradise Hotel" marathon. "Paradise Hotel" is a cheesy, raunchy reality show that originally aired about 3 years ago and I loved it so much that when I saw that they were re-airing the episodes...I was in heaven!!
