The controversial documentary "The Carter" comes out on DVD today. The movie follows Lil Wayne while he traveled to Amsterdam, LA and all points in between. Though Lil Wayne was never formally interviewed for the project, he agreed to let the cameras film him, and several members of his camp spoke at length about him, from Birdman to manager, even his daughter Reginae Carter, who spit a rhyme that showed her own musical skills.

"I'm working on this reality show, with me and my son," Fab confirmed in an interview with interviewer Nesha. "It's gonna be like, about young fatherhood where, well, not too young, but in the same token as being my first child and he's so young and me still being relevant in hip-hop. You know, having to balance my career being a father at the same time. And then me actually not knowing much about parenting. The struggling in there should be fun, having some funny points, I have some drama, I have a lot of ups and downs, it should be a good reality show. It's not crazy, I'm not searching for love on that Ray J sh*t." (Society & Style)
"Been shooting 4 a reality show 4 the last 2 days... I know..But no Ray J, Flavor Flav 4 love sh*t," he wrote Monday (September 28) afternoon. "Won't b nicknaming no chicks! The show is based on da crazy, spontaneous, busy, traveling life of a entertainer & da loving, complicated, genuine journey of a new father. And somehow since the producers & backers of the show found out I'm a trending topic startin lunatic on twitter.. Twitter & my twiggas r in!"
Gucci's probation for a 2005 aggravated-assault case was revoked because the flamboyant rapper has not completed a court-ordered 600 hours of community service, he's tested positive for marijuana and cocaine during visits to his probation officer and he has not been getting the proper permission to travel as mandated previously by the judge. "[Gucci] told the court yesterday he was on a road to recovery in terms of being clean and sober," explained Thomas, who also represented T.I. in his recent gun case. "[He is] alcohol free and weed free. ... He's also dealing with the emotional issue of killing somebody. He's been in counseling and therapy." (MTV)
Mane has been sent back to Fulton County Jail in Atlanta for probation violation. Sources close to the Atlanta rapper say Gucci attended a court hearing earlier today to determine whether or not he'd have to serve time for an unspecified infraction that violated the conditions of his probation. He was sentenced to 12 months, but could end up serving only six with good behavior. This doesn't mark the first time Gucci violates his probation. The rapper was sent to the same jail for only completing 25 out of a required 600 hours of community service in relation to a prior assault charge. (BET)
Gucci was sent to prison after only serving 25 hours out of his mandated 600 hours of community service and testing positive for drugs at his last probation meeting. After serving his jail sentence, Gucci will still have two and half years of probation and 600 hours of community service to look forward to.
Rapper Gucci Mane is back in jail Friday morning and will stay there for six months.
The Atlanta-based rapper was returned to jail Thursday on a probation violation and will stay behind bars until May 2010, according to jail officials.
Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, admitted to hitting a nightclub promoter in the head with a pool cue in 2005. He was sentenced to a year in jail last year for failing to fulfill his court-ordered 600 hours of community service in that case.
He went to jail and served until March when he was released on probation.
Officials did not say how Gucci Mane violated the terms of that probation.
Gucci Mane's third album, The State vs. Radric Davis, is set for release on Dec. 8.
