Lil Wayne and Drake Diss Jay-z and Kanye West! LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!
The Internet is going nuts over Lil Wayneâs controversial song âItâs Goodâ (featuring Drake and Jadakiss), which recently leaked online. The presumed diss track, which appears on the rapperâs new LP âTha Carter IV,â features Weezy throwing lyrical jabs at the hip-hop king Jay-Z and his wife BeyoncĂ©:
âTalkinâ about baby money, I got your baby money, kidnap your bâh, get that how much you love your lady money / I know you fake nâa, press your brakes nâa / Iâll take you out, thatâs a date, nâa,â he spits.
The stinging verses is in response to Jay-Zâs line on âH*A*M,â in which he reportedly dissed Wayne and his mentor, Cash Money Records CEO Birdman. âIâm like really, half a billi nâa / Really you got baby money⊠[you] ainât got my ladyâs money,â he raps.
In an interview with VIBE, Wayne cryptically addresses his harsh lyrics against Hov and Bey-Bey, and seems unfazed by the notoriety the song has received on the blogosphere.
âI know there wonât be any repercussions behind what I did,â he told the publication. âI know for a fact music is about perception. You canât do anything but perceive what you hear. I know that for a fact. So I canât ever be upset about someoneâs reaction.â
For the Young Money leader, âItâs Goodâ is just another track on the album. So whatever develops in response to the song, Wayne is ready to roll with the punches. âIâm not going to say I donât know what would happen before I even say [something on record],â he says. âI do know what will happen. Iâm aware of it. But it is what it is.â
Honestly, we hope that Jay-Z doesnât respond to the Weezyâs taunts. Two millionaire rappers throwing lyrical jabs at each other doesnât really excite us unless the songs are good. However, Hov might fire back since Wayne call BeyoncĂ© a bâh, which was very uncouth of him.
Who do you think will win?! Let me know!
