Watch it and see for yourself... What do you think? I think Rihanna can do a lot better than giving an audience of young women "implied physical abuse." And Ri-Ri, aren't you over Chris Brown and his look-alikes by now? ~Heather

Who doesn't love to watch a good proposal? Of course, she says yes. But I'm thinking for a guy who goes by "Game," he'd have a little more of it. Does Game propose to his lady with champagne and flowers at sunset on a mountaintop? No. He surprises her at the school where she teaches -- with TMZ in tow. Hey, at least he captured the moment on camera. (For the couple who likes to live their lives in front of an audience...) I'm happy for them!

I played this audio for you Friday morning on the Power Morning Playhouse, but that's nothing compared to seeing this guy on video. Wichita, we came really close to voting up Wichita Children's Home to receive a free vehicle from Toyota. thisclose. Voting for that contest was only for one day and it's done. But thank you so much for helping vote up WCH!
I know I've asked you to vote daily for Youthville to receive SIX FIGURES in funding from Vivint.com. That would be huge! Vote here once a day every day through August 27:
Now there's a new vote-to-win-funding contest. EMC wants to donate $25,000 to charity and Wichita Children's Home is up for that, so please vote here:
We had Nancy Compton, the Chief Advancement Officer of Youthville, on to talk to us about the organization on Empower Wichita recently. Organizations like Youthville and Wichita Children's Home need as much funding as they can get. That's why Compton's Youthville is embracing these social media/online voting contests. Inventive ways of fundraising will likely be the future for these non-profits who are taxed with providing care to Kansas' most needy children each day.
I've seen three of these vote-to-win contests already this summer for WCH and Youthville. I've asked you to vote in all three of them. (Whether on here, Twitter, Facebook, or on Tumblr). I already think it's exhausting to ask every day but I do it anyway because I believe in the kids at Youthville and WCH and I want them to have the best. I'm sure we're only seeing the beginning of these vote-to-win-money-for-charity contests.
So thank you in advance for voting.
Thanks for your patience. And thank you for humoring me about the whole thing. I'm quite attached to the Youthville kids I am blessed to volunteer with and know how much the extra funding could improve their daily lives within the system.
Youthville takes kids who have been neglected and abused and works to give them back their childhood. Youthville and WCH work together for these kids. You can get involved as a volunteer mentor like me or become a volunteer driver. You can also donate money. You can also become a foster parent. Youthville especially needs foster families for sibling groups. Imagine being not just taken from your home but split up from your siblings too!
Youthville also has weekly adoption meetings because they want you to adopt our Kansas kids. They do so much for kids that I'd really love to see them win the Vivint money. Youthville also sets up the 18-year-olds when they "age out" of foster care. How can a foster kid afford to set up their first apartment? Where are they going to turn to be able to buy basic supplies like bedding? Youthville helps them with that.
So if you can't adopt, donate, foster, or volunteer, just vote. It's one simple thing we can all do daily.

Drunk guy gets stuck in drain
Sacramento police and firefighters recently rescued a 21-year-old man from a storm drain. Jared Medeiros was trying to retrieve his belongings when he got stuck and began crying out for help. Neighbor Christina Nieves saw his thrashing legs and called 911. Jared, who was drunk, had no recollection of how he became stuck or the circumstances surrounding his rescue.

The Anderson family, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, was recently celebrating a birthday at a local Chuck E. Cheese when the restaurant's rat mascot flipped off the camera while posing with one of their children. The boy's father, Jesse Anderson, says Chuck E. Cheese brushed him off when he complained. A rep for the company says, "He has big wide paws, like a glove, and they're lumpy and not clearly defined. His glove is a thumb and three fingers, so what you see is his index finger extended â not his middle finger."

There are two reasons why I'm doing a very short True Blood recap this week. First, it's Wednesday already and I'm over it. Second, this week's episode really annoyed me. I am really tired of the witch story line and we're only three episodes in...UGH! I'm also tired of a weakling version of Erik. I understand the plot needed to be advanced, which made this latest episode a little slow. But the Jason story line where he gets captured by the crazy panther/crackhead people in Hot Shot to become their "Ghost Daddy" (whatever that is) has also gone on too long.
Looking ahead, here are my hopes for next week's episode. No more witches. Jason gets rid of the fever and gets revenge on the inbreeds. Tara's girlfriend comes looking for her and messes up her world in Bon Temps. Faceless Pam finds a way to bring Erik and her face back to us. Oh, and speaking of inbreeds, what's up between Bill and Porsche Bellfleur? ;) Hey now!
Until next week, enjoy a photo of gentle Erik. ~Heather

Wichita please vote TODAY for Wichita Children's Home to receive a new Toyota vehicle through their Cars For Good program. Wichita Children's Home needs the vehicle for their Street Outreach Services (SOS). ICT SOS, WCH, Youthville, ASERCA, and the Wichita Police Department's EMCU all work together to help Kansas youth of all ages. These organizations receive so very little funding to operate, a new vehicle is much needed and would be a huge help to the kids! Thank you! ~Heather

Remember the story about the guy who quit his Taco Bell job with a special message to his boss? Well, here's a photo of it:
Here's the story if you missed it:
A Taco Bell employee in Depew, New York recently announced his resignation on the restaurant's marquee. The worker changed the sign to read: "I quit - Adam / f**k you :)"
The quitter, Adam, is the name of a shift manager at the restaurant, who worked the Fourth of July after having worked for 22 straight days. He was angry because his boss allowed others to have the day off.
And how did you quit your job? ;)

Last night's True Blood was another good one -- though not my favorite one this season (so far). Remember how I was worried about Sookie last week after Erik started wandering around with amnesia? Still can't tell whether or not she's in more danger now that he's lost his memory. He did almost eat her -- and killed her fairy godmother. (That was a killer closing line last night at the end of the episode. "You just killed my fairy godmother!")
Alcide is bugging me because I can't believe he took that V junkie Debbie back. I still want him and Sookie to hook up, is that so wrong?
Speaking of wrong...Hoight needs to put Jessica in check. If only she hadn't glammered him into being OK with her "cheating" on him. And what's the deal with her creepy baby doll that keeps coming back from the garbage? Is this Chuckie? While we're on the subject of wrong, Sam's little shifter bro has some issues. Did he really think he was going to get Sam to bond with him while attempting to steal Maxine's land for its natural gas? That kid is a little punk!
Back to the good stuff. Pam had one of the best lines ever in an episode of True Blood last night. While looking at Lafayette, Jesus, and Tara she said, "I will eat, f____, and kill all three of you." You know, if they don't bring her that crazy, off-the-hook witch Marnie. Love you Pam! But if you're that bad, why don't you go get that witch yourself? The vamps are pretty scared of the witches. I'm OK with it so far since it's only episode three. I'm afraid of a season two repeat and of Marnie becoming another Maryann/maynad thing... That got a little old. Or is it just me? Did you like last night's episode of True Blood? Let me know in the comments. ~Heather

I'm going to keep this one short because...well, it's Tuesday! And my goal is to post these on Mondays after True Blood airs on HBO. Hope you had a great holiday!
There's really only one thing that stood out from the second episode of season four of True Blood. What is Sookie Stackhouse going to do now that Erik Northman appears to have amnesia? Is he faking it? Did Bill Compton set him up for Marnie the Witch's damage? Is Sookie screwed now with Erik being all messed up or is she better off? He bought her house (which is bad) but he also could have been her protector (if you believe him). I think Bill did set him up which means he really was her protector... What do YOU think? ~Heather

Who else is glad "True Blood" is back on HBO! Thank the vamps, wolves, fairies, and witches for coming back. TV needs this show. I LOVE IT! (This is Heather BTW; Hitman never blogs here LOL).
Season four's first episode (titled "She's Not There" for you purists and those who are trying to Google it so you can bogart it online) starts with Sookie in the fairy land and reuniting with her Granddaddy. All seems well and good until we realize Granddaddy Earl has been there 20 years but he thinks he's only been gone a few hours. Guess what? The same thing happens to Sookie! She's there for just a few minutes and returns to Bon Temps to find out -- OOPS -- she was gone for over 12 months!
A lot changes in 12 months...
Very cool to see Lafayette and Jesus are still an item. But what's up with Tara running away and changing her name to Toni? She really doesn't want to be found. I don't blame her, BUT I do think something else is going on with her there... Oh, and she's in a lesbian relationship now. I don't blame her after what happened to her in season three! But her new girlfriend obviously has NO IDEA what's up. That's going to suck when that blows up in her face...because that's how "True Blood" rolls!
I thought the exchange at Merlotte's between Sam and his little bro was pretty funny. So...I guess that means Sam shot him in the leg and is now paying for his physical therapy while attending an anger management program. But what is little bro doing with Hoight's mamma? You know that woman is crazy! Speaking of Hoight, he and Jessica are definitely having some issues. Can't wait to see how that drama works itself out this season.
I get it -- Bill's the King now. But what is Eric Northman's deal with Sookie? Neither of these vampires are on Sookie's side, right? We know Jason is -- and can you believe he's a cop now? And that he's taking care of Crystal's crackhead family in Hotshot?
Damn. I love this show. I'll stay up late on a Sunday night to watch it. I'll be logging onto HBO GO later today to see the sneak preview of the next episode that's posted there. So glad to see HBO hooking up the GO app with sneak previews and extra features.
Predictions for this season? I haven't read this far ahead in the Charlaine Harris books but I do know the show is always slightly different from her books anyway. So share your thoughts and predictions in the comments and come back every Monday for my "True Blood" recap!

Who the heck is this Kreayshawn chick? We just started playing her song, "Gucci Gucci," last week. (This is Heather blogging BTW). I admit, I'm already obsessed with Kreayshawn just off this one song! Maybe it's because I'm also from the Bay Area, maybe it's because I so seldom fall in love so quickly with artists and NEVER off just one song! Maybe she's just good. I don't know, what do YOU think of Kreayshawn? Do you like hearing "Gucci Gucci" on Power 93.9? Lemme know in the comments below!
Here's the video for "Gucci Gucci."
This chick started off making music videos for local rappers in Oakland, CA. Here's one of the videos she directed:
I'm always wary of the new thing to come along, whatever it is. Music feels so contrived all the time lately, and I admit it -- I dismissed Kreayshawn at first when I heard about her. Come on! A white girl rapper? Really? Cheeeeeeeesy! But I like what little so far I've heard from her. I downloaded her mixtape and "Gucci Gucci" is already for sale on iTunes. I've watched all her YouTube videos...and yes, I'm obsessed!
I found a couple cool articles about her and thought this one that addresses the controversy about her is the best one. She doesn't use the n-word in her rhymes (so she says). But what's the scoop on an album? She just got signed to a record deal with Sony/Columbia. So it's hard to judge off just what she's posted online so far. But I guess that's just what we're all doing...
Tell me in the comments if you love/hate her and why. It takes me a while to approve the comments, BTW. And I don't approve the kind you wouldn't read in front of your grandma so...#Stayclassy #Wichita! And follow your girl on Twitter @heatherlarson to hit me up too.

First of all, this is Heather and thanks for listening to Hitman and I on the Power Morning Playhouse. We got into a heated discussion with listeners for over an hour this morning. It all started with an email from a listener. She was asking if we thought it was OK for her to date a man who had a criminal record due to this time he got arrested in a prostitution sting.
As a woman, my natural instinct is to tell her "NO!" Run! Move on. This guy is probably trouble she doesn't want. Dating is hard, yes. There's nothing more disappointing than meeting someone new, getting to know them, feeling that they're really great -- and then finding out they did something that's not in line with your own values.
I was shocked when the first call we got on the Power lines was from a woman who said that men pay for it either way, so what's the big deal? He's going to pay for your needs anyway, so what difference does it make if he paid for a hooker once or twice?
Hold up. When did we, as women, go on sale? When did relationships become transactions? And when did it become assumed that we can/should/do give it up just because a man pays for dinner? Because I can tell you one thing -- that doesn't sound like love to me. Anyone interested in dating me just because I might "give it up" isn't looking for the same thing I am. He's also not looking at me for the reasons he should be.
Did we just go back in time today in the way back machine?
My momma didn't raise me to get into a relationship with a man who ever frequented a hooker or who has a criminal record. In fact, if I did that, I'm pretty sure she'd come back from the dead just to whoop me upside the head. My mother raised me to value myself. I wasn't hearing a lot of calls from women who value themselves this morning. Not until a woman called in to ask why no one had raised the STD issue. Good point! Would you want to sleep with someone who may put you at risk for an STD? You can whine that hookers use condoms all you want. Go ahead. But condoms break. Then what?
Another woman called in today to chew me out because I'm judging the man too harshly for buying hookers, like I never did anything in my past. I didn't. I haven't. My record is clean and I want the same from a potential partner. That's not too much to ask at all and it is, was, and always will be one of my dating requirements. You can't date me if you have a criminal record. And I shouldn't have to explain why or defend that.
Try getting a job, apartment, or a decent credit report with that criminal record. Good luck.
No one talked about what type of men pay for sex. I'm not sure why that didn't come up, but I'm disappointed that it didn't. Just in case you're wondering what kind of men like to frequent hookers, you can read up on it here. Someone went to the trouble of doing an international study about it. The findings are disturbing.
Also disturbing are Wichita's statistics for child sex trafficking. We're #5 in the country for originating cities for human trafficking in the U.S. Men, don't tell me you're sure she's an adult or that you're sure she's doing it by choice when you frequent a prostitute. For more on what these men are thinking, you can read the study published in the Guardian.
I was shocked at the amount of women who called or texted in that criminal records are OK and that men buying prostitutes are OK. So I thought I'd post this blog and see what the response may be. I know I'm not the only person who thinks this way. I hope to hear some additional opinions today on this blog and just wanted to give one more forum to those who tried to call in but didn't get through or who couldn't text us while driving or working or whatever. Power 93.9 is your station and I want you to have the opportunity to share your two cents no matter what!
Thanks for listening and reading. As you can tell, this topic really bugged me today!
BTW, the webmaster is out and I can't change the settings on the comments. They don't auto post, so I'll have to check from time to time and approve your comments. So if they don't show up right away, that's why.

I know. I'm late to the Honeybadger video party. Seems like it's been going around a lot on Facebook lately. So...I had to look up Randall, the guy who narrates the infamous viral video called "The Crazy Nastyass Honeybadger." I showed Hitman the video today because I think he needs a pet honey badger to deal with the den of foxes that are living on his deck.
I found a cool Q&A with Randall here.

I'm on the final book in the trilogy and love the series. I've watched the first two movies in Swedish and they're worth sitting through subtitles. Maybe I'm a horrible person for that, but at least I admit it! I also liked the people who were dancing in the dark while wearing the lights. That was very impressive. But for now, you have to see the cute SH'Boss Boys because I love any kids who listen to the "wadio" and "wap" along with it! I also love that they'd give their winnings to homeless kids. If you missed the original video from Sunday, you can watch it here.
Is it not amazing that this man and the other convenience store customers were able to survive as the building they were in crumbled? They used beer boxes as steps to help them climb out of the rubble when it was all over. Notice the small space they survived in! They were so lucky. ~Heather

The only reason why I rate this video as NSFW (not safe for work) is because there are people screaming in it. Let's send out positive thoughts so they can all locate family, friends, and pets there today like this lady did:

Let's take a look at Hitman's office filthbomb, shall we? I'm also posting pics of my office... But let's start with Hitman's fridge:
That jar of sauce has been in there for a while...Next up, a random office shelf full of tchotchkes and stuff that's probably expired too!
Let's now take a look at the view that greets you when you walk in the door!
If you see smoke coming from 21st & Woodlawn, this is why:
And my office, by contrast, isn't so bad! I'm just not a big "stuff" person.
This is as bad as it gets:
But at least I'm grown and pick up my stuff off the floor! No fire hazards here...unlike my friend...
And there you have it...Felix and Oscar...Sanford and Son...or Hitman & Heather!

Hitman starts freaking out before we go on the air this morning because he notices the computer monitor on the right is slightly higher than the one on the left. I'm not kidding. He threatened to send an email to engineering about it but I had to tell he couldn't because he was acting like a primadonna. They replaced one of the monitors in the studio. I didn't even notice! Hitman? He pops off because they are different heights now! He's THAT OCD! Here's a photo so you can see what I'm talking about. It's enough to put him over the edge. He had to leave the show early to get his doc to up his meds... ~Heather

A Pakistani man was wondering why a helicopter was hovering in his Abbottabad neighborhood and started tweeting about it on Sunday. To make a long story short, he was live tweeting the killing of Osama bin Laden and didn't even know it! Now he may be themost famous guy on Twitter...for now, at least. We've all googled Kate Middleton's royal wedding dress by now, seen it, and approved it. (I have heard no complaints, how about you?) But the real story of the day is this hat! What business does this chick have wearing a hat like this? Because then idiots like me have to blog about it. ;) It totally upstages the bride to wear a ridiculous hat like this! Don't you think? Or does this hat just say sister has been smoking something? Maybe the royals get high. If they do, I think this counts as evidence! ~Heather
(And I am talking about the chick on the right if there's any doubts. I chose not to post her name to protect the innocent).

This morning on the Playhouse, Hitman brought in a bottle of Jagermeister for Youso and a Wichita Police officer came in to breathalyze him. (Thank you, Officer Lloyd!) KAKE 10 came in to document what was going on. They interviewed Hitman and Office Lloyd about what we were doing and why. (Yes, I have video to edit & post next week on this site!)
Hitman on KAKE10:
It's prom season and we wanted to make a point about why kids shouldn't be drinking before/after/during their proms. Aside from the fact that drinking under the age of 21 is ILLEGAL, we learned a couple other things. The legal limit for those who are 21+ is .08. The legal limit for those under 18 is far less -- at .02 you are past the legal limit. (Not to mention it's illegal for you to drink, illegal for adults to give you booze, etc).
After one drink, Youso blew a .009. At that point, Officer Lloyd explained that he was "impaired." He wouldn't get a DUI, but would be charged for impaired driving. His next breathalyzer test showed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be at .033. In less than 50 minutes, Youso downed the entire 20ml bottle of Jagermeister. He was past the legal limit then at .9-something! His final breathalyzer test a few minutes later was .104. I drove him home shortly after because he got frisky with Hitman. "Your felt sweatshirt is so soft!" Kids, this is why you shouldn't drink!
Think of your future.
If you're underage and get a DUI, you may still get one later in life. We hope you don't! But if you do, your past DUI would come back to haunt you. It doesn't go away; it stays on your record no matter how many years go by. Your second DUI would then become a felony charge! All your dreams in life, even the basic ones like being able to get a good job, would then be down the toilet with last night's booze. So BE SMART! Make good choices!
Don't drink at all. Enjoy your prom sober.
It's not worth having the drinks -- and after what we learned on the show today, you'd be in serious legal trouble after just one drink. No matter how old or young you are, drinking and driving is unacceptable. Always have a designated driver or call a cab to take you home.
Now that I've said my serious bit, enjoy some pics from this morning. We like to laugh and have fun on the show, but we also want our community to be a safe place. Thanks for hearing us out and we hope you learned as much as we did today. Thanks again to Wichita Police Department and KAKE10! ~Heather

Wichita, this is your chance to stand up and do something good in our community. You can do it on your lunch hour too, so it won't take up much of your time!
Jennifer White is awesome!
I read about Jennifer White the other day, a local mom/wife/businesswoman. She was touched when she read about the human trafficking problem in Wichita. Â Jennifer sprung into action wanting to help young women who are being sold into sex slavery. These girls are young! The girl in the article is only 13. How can we help these victims, who are living right here in Wichita? Because this is what happens when you're a homeless teenager. And it's unacceptable!
Jennifer contacted Wichita Children's Home to find out what they need. The list is pretty long and really speaks to what kids who are in the care of the "system" need. Everything from single-use travel packets of laundry detergent and sleeping bags to socks and underwear.
Check out the full list of items needed here on Jennifer's Facebook page. (The list is also at the bottom of this post).
This is Wichita's most vulnerable population.
These are young women who do NOT have a mom or dad to go home to at night. There isn't a safe place for them to call home. They are homeless, they are runaways, they are living at Wichita Children's Home, or not. It's hard to say where some are, and some girls can be found in places where you'd never want to find a child you love. These girls need a home, a foster parent who cares, and for someone to just give them a chance! Here's where you come in.
Donation Drive Info:
The donation drive Jennifer White is doing is Tuesday, April 5 at Heroes Sports Bar & Grill in Old Town. Stop by with items to donate between 11am-2pm. Jennifer is focusing on the Street Outreach and Bridges programs but will accept any items from the WCH wish list (link posted above; list posted at the bottom of this post). Let's get you, my Power fam, out there with armloads of donations for these kids. Let's show we care. Let's take care of our city. We can't allow these kids to suffer like this here in our own town.
Can't donate? Then volunteer.
There's also a volunteer orientation meeting Tuesday, April 5 at 6pm at the Wichita Children's Home. Here's the address:
810 North Holyoke
And listen to The Hitman & Heather tomorrow (Tuesday) morning to hear Jennifer on the air with us! She's got some good stuff to say and you've got to hear it. Get informed!
Let me get real here.
If you think this doesn't happen here, or it can't happen here, you've got to wake up! It is happening here. It's happening in every city in America. I've seen this in San Francisco and Phoenix before I came here. I will never understand why kids can't have a safe home and parents to go home to at night. There is NO logical reason for this. I volunteer at Youthville and I can't even tell you how badly good foster parents are needed in Wichita. Not just for the adorable little kids everyone always wants to adopt, but for the teenagers who are overlooked. They deserve parents who care and who can help them stay in school and even go on to college. I know I just got to Wichita and I'm just getting started. But this is what matters to me and I will be making sure we all come together and help these kids in this community!
So take your donations to Jennifer tomorrow. You can expect to hear more from her on Power 93.9! Volunteer. Learn more about what's happening to our youth here in Wichita. And take a stand. Be like Jennifer and don't take the news lying down. Don't let it go in one ear and out the other. Think about it. Because I guarantee if you do, you'll agree with me. We've got to do something about this!

It came from the Stupid News this morning. We heard a story about three women who got in a fight on a New York City subway train...
One lady got upset because the other one was eating take-out spaghetti on a crowded train car. (Goodness, lady! That's not the WORST thing you will see on a NYC subway train!) You can see in the video one woman is eating the spaghetti when the lady in glasses across the aisle from her says, "What kind of animals eat on the train?" Them are fightin' words! Because guess what happens next? The spaghetti-eating woman says, back to her, "What kind of fat *%&^%^ looks like you." It's on from there! Ding ding! Round two!

Hitman and I plan to have lots o' fun at the Blarney Breakfast Thursday morning at Old Chicago East (Kellogg & Rock from 6-9:30 am). I just wanted to write a quick blog to let you know about the important cause we're supporting -- the Rainbows United Charitable Foundation.
Supporting is as easy as texting RAINBOWS to 85944
Rainbows United helps children with special needs from birth to age 21. If you've ever known a special needs kid like I have, you know how expensive every service is. You also know how vital to their well-being these important services are. It's heartbreaking to see a parent who can't afford to provide their child with the care they need. Due to the costs of care for these special kids, that's nearly every parent of a child with special needs.
Let's help Jayden!
Jayden is a 13-year-old girl with Rett Syndrome. This disorder of the nervous system causes developmental reversals. Imagine your toddler has learned to speak and has the use of many words. You'd be a proud and ecstatic parent! But then imagine your horror and fear one day when your toddler loses all of those words.  You don't understand how or why. Rett Syndrome causes developmental reversals in expressive language and hand use like this. You can learn more about it here.
What Jayden Needs
Jayden needs a piece of equipment called a "stander." Having a stander at home will give her a chance to enjoy greater independence and mobility since she is wheelchair-bound. April Denton, Jayden's Targeted Case Manager, says, "The physical act of standing provides many benefits to disabled children such as improving bone density, pulmonary and digestive functions, as well as prolonging stretching for tight muscles in the hips, ankles, and bones."
Doesn't that make you want to help Jayden right now?
Supporting is as easy as texting RAINBOWS to 85944
Come out and have breakfast with us Thursday morning for this great cause. Tickets are available at the door for adults at $12 and $5 for kids. Chris Cakes will be flippin' the pancakes and there will be my favorite thing in the world -- bottomless coffee! Come have a cup with me and we'll all help Jayden together.

Why not, right? Here goes one I like to call: "You've Been Out Drinking Again"
An Irishman had been drinking at a pub all night. The bartender finally said that the bar is closing. So the Irishman stood up to leave fell flat on his face. He tried to stand one more time; same result. He figured he'll crawl outside and get some fresh air and maybe that will sober him up. Once outside, he stood up and fell on his face again.
So he decided to crawl the four blocks home. When he arrived at the door he stood up and fell flat on his face. He crawled through the door and into his bedroom. When he reached his bed he tried one more time to stand up. This time he managed to pull himself upright, but he quickly fell right into the bed and is sound asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.
He was awakened the next morning to his wife standing over him, shouting,
"SO YOU'VE BEEN DRINKING AGAIN!" Putting on an innocent look, and intent on bluffing it out he said, "What makes you say that?" "The pub just called; you left your wheelchair there again."

I'm just going to say it. Lil' Kim's day has past. I don't want to hear it. She's back in the day for me. Over it. I LOVE Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday" album. I could see if Kim wanted to make this an ALBUM title, but this is going to be just a mixtape cover...for a mixtape called "Black Friday." Kim's art shows her with a sword and Nicki's head lying a pool of blood on the ground.
We know you want to start beef with Nicki. She doesn't want to start it with you! Get over it! There's room for many female rappers in the game. Sheesh. Even Nicki thinks so! Here's what she said about this so-called "beef" recently:
"You see Gaga, you see Madonnaâbut Madonna never hated on Gaga. Why in the black community we gotta hate on each other instead of saying âThank you for showing me love, thank you for keeping my name alive?'"

Remember the Stupid News story we told you this morning about the 400-pound woman who tried to steal $600 worth of stuff from a grocery store while riding a scooter? Well, we found her mugshot:
The story in case you missed it:
"A 400-pound Michigan woman was caught shoplifting when her motorized cart got stuck in the store's door, authorities say. Jerrie Perkins, 30, of Pontiac was attempting to leave a Meijer store in Rochester Hills with more than $600 worth of stolen electronic merchandise Tuesday night, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office told The Macomb Daily of Mount Clemens, Mich.
She set off the door alarm and hit a store employee who confronted her, authorities said. When a sheriff's deputy arrived, she "took a fighting stance" and had to be Tasered to be subdued, the report said. Perkins was charged with unarmed robbery, resisting and obstructing a police officer and second-degree retail fraud. Her bond was set at $15,000 at her arraignment Thursday."
If you have to take a Taser to a 400-pound woman in a scooter...just sayin'

Teenage driving -- there's an app for that! I am so not kidding... You heard the Hitman and I talking about this one today on the Power Morning Playhouse. Neither of us has given it a shot, but let us know if you have. Furthermore, would you even want to? It's one of those tough questions as a parent -- are you too "Big Brother" if you download an app that essentially spies on your teen's driving habits and reports back to you all their data like driving speed? Is it good for a parent to download the iGuardian Teen driving app or does it create a distrust between you and your teen?
Safety is the most important thing. The iGuardian Teen driving app seems to be able to help you ensure your child drives safely... If my parents had used this app on me as a teenager, well, let's just say I would have been grounded more often! We also didn't have cell phones when I was a teen, so there was no danger of me texting or talking on the phone while driving. The iGuardian Teen app for Android actually suppresses calls so your teen won't be tempted to answer his or her cell while driving. It monitors speed, it detects unsafe driving and it even sounds an alarm if your teen makes an unsafe driving move! It sounds almost like you're there in the car with your kid like a backseat driver.
I don't have a teenager, but if I did I would certainly consider this app. The family teen is scared to drive as it is after seeing friends get into bad car accidents. If every teen had this app, would teens become a safer group of drivers? I don't know. I already think it's unfair in some states that kids have to wait until an older age to be able to drive in the car on their own after they receive their driver's license. I think independence is important. So I'm torn...is the iGuardian Teen app a good idea or not?

It started last week when we premiered the new Lady Gaga song, "Born This Way," to you on the Power Morning Playhouse. I thought I'd heard the song before... Yes! I heard it back in the day but it was called "Express Yourself" by Madonna. And did you notice Friday as the song premiered, #Bornthiswayfriday stopped trending on Twitter. But guess what else began trending? None other than a ton of "Express Yourself" and that was no doubt in response to the similarities between Gaga's new track and Madonna's classic song.
We all know Lady Gaga is kind of like Madonna 2.0. At least I think she's modeling her career after Madonna's. And that's no slight to Gaga. I'm actually a HUGE fan of Gaga. But I just expected her to change it up a little this time around. So far, she seems to be sticking with the Madonna route with her career, you know -- do something shocking, make a song about being confident about who you are, etc. I can't wait to hear her entire next album. "Born This Way" isn't enough for my appetite but I'll deal.
Then Sunday night, we watch the Grammy Awards. Arriving in the egg was totally original. She's nuts, she took it there, Gaga's creative and I love it!
But then on stage, Gaga was back to channeling Madge. Tell me the high ponytail and dance move doesn't remind you of Madonna!?
I think Gaga was having some "Blonde Ambition" at the Grammys... How can an artist shock us anymore and keep it fresh? Can you think of an artist who does?

Guys do it to women all the time! Has he bought you a kitchen appliance for Valentine’s Day or your birthday before? Time to get him back!
You know how he was going to fix that shelf in the closet or that broken stair on the staircase but he FORGOT? Buy him some tools to remind him to get it done… (That scene from "Modern Family" comes to mind when Claire is always after Phil because he never fixes their busted stair).
A gym membership
You have to do this one in a very nice way -- especially if your man is getting a little thick around the middle. Be careful not to insult him. Just tell him you care about his health or how you know he'd like to be in shape to play hoops with the boys...just keep it neutral and positive like that and you'll be OK!
A grill and a manly apron to go with it!
Hey, you want him to start cooking for you, right? Well how many men do you know who cook on anything other than a BBQ grill? Exactly. Maybe you should get him a BBQ recipe book too...
Sexy cologne, underwear, and a pair of nice shoes.
Valentine's Day is a great time to replace his Old Spice or Brut, his shoes with the holes in them, and the underwear with the holes in them (and the skidmarks too). Come to think of it, try to replace any and every old article of clothing he's got that you HATE! Disguise its replacement as a gift and you're all good.
Enroll him in a massage class
Here's how you get him to go for this one... Tell him massages really get you hot. Tell him you enrolled him in a massage class so he can be your personal masseuse... Explain that massages will be your only accepted form of foreplay from now on. (And if you actually do this and he goes for it, please let me know!)
A romantic weekend away
If your man is a workaholic type who just can't schedule time off, you need to step in a take the reigns on this one. Book a romantic weekend getaway and make sure your vacation package has an expiration date coming up soon so that it forces him to get away.

What a cute kid! And who didn't pretend to drive their parents' car or truck? I know I did! Also had a German Shepard dog too...this photo brings back memories! Â See, stars are just like us, right?
In "Fallin' Up!" Taboo talks about:
Being a Hip-Hop kid before it was cool
When he first met Will.i.Am
How he neglected the son he had at age 18
Drug abuse and how he beat it
The rise of the Black Eyed Peas
May have to check out the book to see what Taboo is all about...
