"U Know U Want It" There's no question that the Hip-Hop scene in the midwest is at an all-time high. The word 'here' has turned to 'hurr' and 'there' has become 'thurr', but one young aspiring rapper plans to change the world's view of the Midwest scene by taking a detour for all of those on their way to St. Louis and stopping in the city of Wichita, Kansas. This destination changing artist goes by the name of XV, which is the Roman numerals for 15; the age Donavon Johnson was when he decided to leave his past endeavors with a street gang and a life of hustling, to begin his own record label.
Since graduation, XV, who is now 19 years old, has released three albums which have seen successful sales in local Sam Goody stores.
He plans to show the Hip-Hop game that there is a lot more to the Midwest than what is currently being said. "I want people to hear my side of the story, from my side of the town, from my side of the notebook. Giving listeners the same I feel that Notorious B.I.G. gave when he invited you into his life on 'Juicy', I want people to see where I'm really from." With his destiny in his own hands, and his faith in God, XV strives to get the chance to let the world hear the voice of a kid who came out of the city of Wichita, Kansas.
